Exhibition of InterSpace Media Art Centre in Institute of Contemporary Arts - London

The first Bulgarian exhibition in ICA, London - one of the leading institutions of the international network of independent art organizations, will take place in the beginning of August. The event is part of a continuous series of bringing world-renowned media centre to the ICA, which to date has brought Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Centre for Culture and Communication (C3) Budapest. According to Andrew Caleya Chetty - Head of New Media Centre at ICA-London, InterSpace would be valuable addition to that series.

The exhibition in New Media Centre at ICA highlights the artistic production of InterSpace Media Art Centre, Sofia. The presented projects give an overview of the new media art scene in Bulgaria and the pivotal role of InterSpace in the local cultural context.

The exhibition will present documentation of video and interactive installations, current online projects and will feature new works from Petko Dourmana, Maria Berova and Nikolay Chakarov - Interspace members and artists associated with the Center.

This show addresses various artistic approaches to new media technologies and presents artists working at the edge of software development, streaming, communication and interface design.

The exhibition will be opened from 7th till 17th August, 4-8pm, except Sat 2-6 pm at New Media Centre:
